This page will list all different ways of being frugal. God wants us to be good stewards of our money, so I stretch my dollar whenever and wherever I can.
TIPS FOR LIVING ON A BUDGET:
Plan your meals according to what's on sale, you will save so much money. It takes a little time to plan a menu, but the savings is worth it. You will always spend more money if you try and plan your meals at the store, it's easy to impulse buy and also forget what you have on stock at home.
Stock up on meat deals - get a big package take it up to the butcher and have him grind, slice, or cube it. (it's a free service). You can get several meals out of a big package.
Stock up on produce deals - you can freeze grapes, (kids love them and they make a great healthy snack) peaches, and berries. And don't forget to freeze those over-ripe bananas, great for making banana bread or smoothies. If you have a food dehydrator, you can use that for your produce too. If you see a great deal, stock up and freeze, especially if it will be out of season soon.
To cut down on costs of cleaning supplies (unless it's free), I went right back to what gramma used, vinegar water. It's great on windows, mirrors, countertops, floor cleaner, pretty much anything! And to make my paper towel last even longer, I use an old rag to clean with and it doesn't leave streaks like most paper towels do. You can always add a little essential oil to make it smell better too.
Research has shown that we use way too much laundry and dishwasher detergent. Just by cutting the recommended amount in half, can really stretch that bottle further. And it still gets everything clean! If you want to be even more frugal, you can make your own detergent.
